Montreal-based skate brand Dime and Vans have been collaborating since 2015 starting with the Vans Slip-On and we get a first look at a new silhouette called the Wayvee, which they’ve teamed up to introduce.
Coming in two colorways, Evening Blue and Egret, the Wayvee brings a hybrid of raw materials with synthetics to bring the best of both worlds to skateboarding. The Wayvee uses a translucent TPE base on the upper with suede on the overlays around the toe, heel, ankle, and laces with the Jazz Stripe using leather. The ankle collar and tongue bring protection to the foot from the board with co-branding seen on the tongue logo.
As far as the tech specs, the Wayvee uses a LuxeLiner sockliner for impact protection without sacrificing board feel and DURACAP on the toecap for durability on flip tricks. Instead of the gum waffle sole seen on most Vans models, it switches it out for a clear waffle sole with Dime branding on the sole.
The Dime x Vans Wayvee is set to drop on July 17th at 1 PM EST via Dime’s webstore and on Vans.com on July 24th. Check out the collaborative effort below and for any updates stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page.
